On the road of pageantry

When looking back at all I have accomplished this year so far, I am amazed. I have to think "what got me here?" All I can think of is my dad. My dad is my knight in shining armor, my biggest supporter, and my biggest fan. He wants to see all of my dreams come true. Without him, I do not think I would be where I am today.

I am on the road of pageantry...a path of fun, great memories, meeting amazing young woman and lifetime friends, truly getting to know yourself, where you want to go in life and learning what is most important to you. At the same time, it is hard work, EXPENSIVE, and challenging. I am hoping all of my hard work and perserverance pay off.

In the past few months, I have accomplished so many things. I've trained with Miss Indiana USA 2009, Miss Kentucky USA 2009 (TOP 5 at MISS USA), Miss Indiana America 2009 (Top 5 at Miss America), Miss Tennessee, Miss Kentucky America 2009 (Top 5 at Miss America), Miss Kentucky Teen USA 2009, Miss Indiana USA 2001, and many more. I placed in the top 15 at Miss Illinois USA 2010 my very first time ever competing. I am so incredibly blessed to have had these opportunities and have people in my life who love and support me in everyway possible.

What I am doing now:

After gaining exposure for competing for Miss Illinois USA, I have been asked by many photographers to do modeling work for them and have gained a strong modeling portfolio thusfar. I am hoping to sign with a professional modeling contract soon!

I'm trying my best to work out everyday and follow my set eating regimine. I always think of the advice once given to me "Nothing tases as good as looking good!" Haha, that is very true. No piece of cheesecake will get me in Vogue.

As Illinois Miss 2010, I am working on getting autograph cards, swim suit, evening gown, and other outfits for the national pageant Princess America in June in Orlando, FL. The pageant will be held at the Double Tree hotel June 1-5th. Let me know if you are wanting to travel to come see me compete. I will need to know soon in order to buy a sufficient amount of tickets for family and friends.
